Volunteer to become part of the Alabama SUPER VOTER Project. We need volunteers to hand out SUPER VOTER yard signs in their communities. In addition to people who sign up here, we're also proactively reaching out to SUPER VOTERS in precincts with low voter turnout. We talk to others in the precinct to encourage them to follow the example of their SUPER VOTER neighbors.

Who is a SUPER VOTER?

A SUPER VOTER has voted in at least 15 elections in the last 15 years. That's the top 4-5% of voting-age adults.

Many people only vote in presidential elections, staying at home for the midterms. Others vote in general elections, but not in primaries. Many aren't paying attention and miss municipal and special elections. But not SUPER VOTERS. They show up no matter how many candidates will be on the ballot because they know that their vote MATTERS and they will not let their voice be unheard.

Celebrating SUPER VOTERS in this public way signals to the community that voting is valued. It also empowers SUPER VOTERS to see themselves as leaders in their community. We can then ask these individuals to take on more responsibility in encouraging and guiding their neighbors to follow their lead. That's how the Alabama SUPER VOTERS Project is one way we can rebuild a strong civic culture.
